ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country today, with a gun salute being fired at the beginning of the day.
On the auspicious occasion of the 86th anniversary of Pakistan Day, Chief of Defence Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu have extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on behalf of the armed forces of Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military leadership said that March 1940 is an important milestone in our history, the day when our collective vision took shape and the path to establishing an independent homeland was paved. Rooted in faith, guided by hope and strengthened by steadfastness, this day reflects the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani nation.
By the grace of Allah Almighty, our nation is on the path of progress under the banner of democracy and upholding the eternal principles of Islam.
