Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq celebration to light up Jinnah stadium tonight

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is all set to celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zeal, as the celebrations are to begin in the federal capital from today evening.

The main ceremony will be held in Jinnah Stadium, which will include a flypast of JF-17 Thunder, presentation of national songs, and a musical show.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other prominent personalities will participate.

In honor of the triumph in Marka-e-Haq, the Prime Minister will also unveil the Marka-e-Haq Monument during the occasion.

Military contingents from friendly nations, Turkiye and Azerbaijan, are taking part in the spectacular Independence Day celebrations.

Moreover, the Pakistan Armed Forces will demonstrate defense equipment at the Shakarparian Parade Ground, which will be available to the public on Thursday.

The equipment will be offered to the public from 10 a.m. tomorrow. The display will showcase numerous weaponry, planes, tanks, and other military equipment utilized during the Marka-e Haq.

The exhibit will also feature artillery, rocket launchers, military vehicles, and armored transports. The show will also include radars used in Marka-e-Haq.

The Pakistan Air Force will conduct a fly-past and para-jumping performance to commemorate the anniversary.
