ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Saturday approved the appointment of 10 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The JCP meeting, headed by Chief Justice Justice Yahya Afridi, deliberated on 31 nominees for the appointment of 10 additional PHC judges.
According to a press release, the commission has approved two District and Sessions Judges — Farah Jamshed and Inam Ullah Khan — and seven advocates for the slot.
Advocates nominated for appointment include Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Abdul Fayaz, Sabit Ullah Khan, Salah ud Din, Sadiq Ali, Syed Mudasser Ameer, Aurangzeb, and Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah.
“The meeting was held for considering the nomination for appointment of Additional Judges in the Peshawar High Court in the Conference Room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad,” the press release read.
