PCB announces 16 member squad for T20 series against Bangladesh

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, according to a PCB media release.

“The selection committee has named a 16-member men’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, with Salman Ali Agha continuing as team captain, ” the press release said.

“The squad has been selected based on players’ performances in the ongoing HBL PSL X, which concludes on 25 May. This series also marks the first assignment for newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson”, the statement reads.

All the matches will be played at the Ghaddafi Stadium Lahore, with the schedule yet to be announced.

Stars like Muhammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Shaheen  Shah Afridi have been rested for the series. Fast bowler Hassan Ali has returned to the squad after his performance in the Pakistan Super League.

The following  16 names are included in the Squad.

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper) and Saim Ayub
