PM Shehbaz Sharif set to address UNGA’s 79th session today

NEW YORK (Rizwan Abbasi): Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to address the 79th United Nations General Assembly session today, focusing on pressing global issues. The pivotal address will be Today at 6 PM (PST) mainly emphasizing Pakistan’s strategic global role.

The PM will highlight Islamophobia, a growing threat to global peace and safety of Muslims worldwide, calling on the international community to protect Muslim rights.

Climate change, another key topic, will emphasize Pakistan’s experiences and advocate for climate justice and support for developing countries. Climate change’s adverse effects have severely impacted Pakistan, and immediate global action will be urged.

The Prime Minister will also address Israeli aggression in Gaza, stressing the need to uphold Palestinian rights and end Israeli aggression. Pakistan has consistently supported the Palestinian people and will reaffirm its commitment.

The Kashmir conflict, a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, will be discussed, briefing on human rights violations and calling for implementing UN resolutions for a peaceful resolution.

Additionally, Pakistan’s commitment to fighting terrorism and promoting international cooperation will be reaffirmed. This address is crucial in global politics, strengthening Pakistan’s position as a key regional player.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s speech is expected to bolster Pakistan’s stance on the international stage and open new avenues for peace and stability in the region.
