Quetta Jaffar Express Blast: 14 people including FC personnel martyred

QUETTA: A powerful explosion on the railway track near Chaman Phatak in Quetta martyred 14 people, including 3 FC personnel, and injured several others.

According to the police, the explosion took place on the railway track near Chaman Phatak. The explosion was so intense that its echo broke the glass and windows of nearby buildings, and the explosion also damaged the train and 10 vehicles parked nearby.

Railway officials say that after the explosion, the Jaffar Express going to Peshawar has been stopped at Quetta station.

After the explosion, an emergency has been imposed in government hospitals, and doctors and medical staff have been called. According to rescue sources, more than 20 people injured in the explosion on the railway track have been shifted to Civil Sandeman Hospital.

Chief Minister Balochistan’s spokesperson Shahid Rind said that the number of people killed in the Chaman Phatak blast has reached 14, including 3 FC personnel, and several women and children injured in the blast have been shifted to the hospital.

Shahid Rind says that terrorists targeted unarmed civilians. Security forces have surrounded the area, and evidence collection and investigation are ongoing. Targeting public places is proof of the terrorists’ desperation.
