JAKARTA: Pakistan won the silver medal in the 2nd Asian Doubles Squash Championship as India beat the Green shirts in the final, according to media reports.
In the men’s doubles final, the final between Pakistan and India lasted for one hour and 27 minutes, in which Pakistan faced defeat at the hands of India.
Pakistani players Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal lost the final 2-1 after losing the first game, while the pair of Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthil Kumar won the final 9-11, 11-5 and 11-5.
Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated the duo on winning the silver medal at the 2nd Asian Doubles Squash Championship.
Earlier, Pakistani Squash duo Nasir Iqbal and Noor Zaman reached the final of the 2nd Asian Doubles Squash Championship after trashing hosts Malaysia 2-1 in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
