ISLAMABAD: The Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS) has launched a groundbreaking Public Health Card program, designed to make quality healthcare more accessible to families in need.

This innovative initiative, developed in collaboration with State Life Insurance, offers comprehensive treatment options for an annual fee of just Rs. 12,500.

During the launch ceremony, RIHS Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja highlighted the numerous benefits of the Health Card Scheme, which includes in-patient and out-patient services, surgical and dental care, and essential medications.

The program primarily targets underprivileged families, with an initial registration of 5,000 families in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. However, plans are underway to expand the service nationwide, extending to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

As a leading healthcare provider, RIHS operates a state-of-the-art 500-bed teaching hospital and medical college, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.

Established in 2011, the Rawal General and Dental Hospital has undergone significant expansion, introducing specialized departments such as cardiac, pediatric, and neurosurgery. The hospital continues to evolve, adding new units to effectively meet the healthcare needs of its patients.
