ISLAMABAD: An alleged Cambridge exam leaks scandal has triggered widespread concern among students, parents, and education experts, following claims that examination papers and confidential study material were being sold online through social media platforms, websites, and private online groups.
The reputation of the ongoing Cambridge (O/A Level) examinations in Pakistan has been put at stake. During the May-June 2026 examination series, papers for several key subjects, including Mathematics (AS-Level Mathematics) and Physics, were allegedly leaked on social media hours before the exams began.
According to reports, several websites and social media channels have allegedly been advertising leaked exam papers and confidential academic material related to the international education system. Students were reportedly being invited to join private communities and online groups to access the material.
Parents have urged authorities and relevant institutions to conduct transparent investigations and take strict action against those involved in the alleged leaks and online fraud.
Cybercrime experts stressed the need for digital monitoring and tracing of suspicious online platforms to prevent fraud and protect students from scams and misinformation.
According to reports, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has launched an inquiry after allegations that confidential Cambridge exam papers were circulated online before scheduled examinations. The incident has raised serious questions about exam security and digital exploitation of students.
