Rescue officials in Multan said that a dilapidated residential building collapsed, killing at least nine people, including women and children. According to the district emergency officer, the three-story residential building was situated close to Sabeel Chowk in Multan.

Nine people lost their life in the event on Monday night, while two others were injured, according to the officer. When rescue personnel got on the scene, they removed all nine bodies and the two injured, who were sent to Multan’s Nishtar Hospital.
Although the reason behind the incident is yet unknown, Deputy Commissioner Rizwan Qadeer of Multan formed teams to look into it and assess the homes and structures nearby.
