British High Commissioner in Pakistan met with Nawaz Sharif, discussed various issues
British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott met Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and discussed the promotion of trade and investment, including Pakistan’s historical relations with Britain.

On the occasion of the meeting, Nawaz Sharif said that Britain is Pakistan’s biggest trade partner in Europe.
The former prime minister expressed concern over the reduction in overseas development assistance to Pakistan from Britain in recent years and hoped that the British High Commissioner’s efforts would expand the aid program.
Nawaz Sharif urged the British government to play its positive and meaningful role to ensure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
On this occasion, the British High Commissioner in Pakistan Jane Marriott said that she had always wanted to witness the rich culture and history of Pakistan herself.
