In response to Islamabad’s water scarcity, the Water Management Wing has accelerated construction on a number of projects at the request of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA). in order to ensure that the people have access to water without interruption and are not faced with any challenges.

Regarding this, the Water Management Wing has fully addressed all repair work and concerns, such as leaks, under the command of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). This includes replacing old and deteriorated pipes in the Simli Water Filtration Plant and Main Condition Line. It should be noted that the timely action of the Water Supply Wing has not only saved 8 lakh gallons of water per day but also increased the water pressure in the pipelines. Similarly, complaints like leakages in water supply lines have been removed in Sector G-7/3.

It should be mentioned that the absence of the necessary monsoon rainfall has resulted in a drop in the water level in other dams, notably Khanpur Dam. As a result, the water supply department works nonstop before summer arrives to make up for the water shortfall and provide the public with a sufficient amount of water.

Newspapers have advertised tenders in this regard in an effort to manage the water scarcity before summer arrives. In addition, work to stop water leaks in other water networks, such as main condition lines, will shortly begin at a cost of 60 crore rupees in order to conserve additional water.

In a similar vein, the water supply agency has also alerted the water tanker service to the current circumstances. The Water Supply Wing has also given helpline number 9202218 in consideration of the citizens’ circumstances. Likewise, users can file concerns by contacting 0335775444 on WhatsApp. Note that under all situations, prompt resolution of received complaints will be guaranteed.

In order to use as much water as possible, the Water Supply Wing has urged the public to practice caution when utilizing water. In a similar vein, people who waste water face harsh consequences in an effort to improve the safety of water reserves.
