ISPR: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), paid a visit to soldiers participating in a field exercise in the training region close to Rahim Yar Khan. COAS received a briefing on the Shamsheer-e-Sehra drill. The exercise’s goal was to improve the professional abilities and combat protocols needed to handle obstacles in the operational environment in the future.

COAS saw coordinated gunfire and combat operations involving artillery, air defense, armored infantry, mechanized infantry, infantry, and anti-tank guided missiles. The drill also included aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force.
In order to neutralize the enemy’s communications and misinformation effort during a war, the exercise also included information operations and electronic warfare skills. COAS spent the entire day on the exercise area with the soldiers. As COAS spoke with the soldiers taking part in the drill, he praised their strong morale across all ranks, operational readiness, and training standards.

He emphasized that the Armed Forces must always be ready for any mishap on the part of the adversary. “With the backing of the country, the Pakistan Armed Forces are equipped to protect our motherland’s territorial integrity and sovereignty from any kind of threat,” the COAS stated in closing. Earlier, Inspector General Training and Evaluation and Corps Commander Karachi welcomed COAS to the field area.
