ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors jolted the federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other cities in Pakistan on Thursday.
The 5.3 magnitude earthquake was also felt in Peshawar, Swat, Bajaur, Malakand, Chitral, Kohat, Abbottabad, Lower Dir, and other cities in KP.
According to the initial seismic report, the epicenter of the earthquake was reported around 55 kilometers from Chitral at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. No casualties have been reported so far.

According to Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the magnitude of the earthquake is 5.3 while the depth was calculated at 86 Km.
