LAHORE: Pakistan Railways reduced train fares by 25% for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 on Tuesday to facilitate passengers across the country who are returning to their homes for the Eid holidays.
According to the details, the reduction in fares for three days of Eidul Fitr will be applicable on all passenger trains except for Eid special trains.
Earlier, Pakistan Railways achieved a historic milestone as the revenue of the department reached Rs 66 billion in the first nine months of the Fiscal Year 2023-24.

Earlier, Pakistan Railways announced four special trains for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024, aimed at helping commuters going to their hometowns.

Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) shared an update on the Shawal moon sighting today. “According to astronomical parameters, there is a Chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal 1445 AH on the evening of 09-04-2024 i.e. on the 29th of Ramzan 1445 AH,” Met Office said.
