Election 2024: There are 17,816 candidates nationwide contending for NA and PA seats

ISLAMABAD: The information on the candidates running for national and provincial assembly seats around the nation has been made public.

17,816 candidates will run in the general elections of 2024, which are scheduled for February 8. There are 5,121 candidates running for 266 national assembly seats.

There are 5,121 candidates running for office, including 4807 men, 312 women, and 2 transgender candidates. As many as 3.248 independent candidates are running for general assembly seats.

There are 12,695 candidates running for seats in the provincial parliament. There are 4158 political party candidates and up to 8537 independent candidates running in this election.

Additionally, transgender candidates are running for four seats in elections across the nation.

There are up to 6710 candidates running for seats in the Punjab Assembly, 2878 candidates running for seats in the Sindh Assembly, 1834 candidates running for seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1273 candidates running for seats in the Balochistan Assembly.
