ISLAMABAD: After investigation into the suicide attack on a Chinese engineers in Shangla area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif suspended four senior police officers of the KP Police and the Commandant of the CPEC Security Unit for negligence during duty.
According to the details, in light of inquiry report, the federal government has issued orders to suspend DIG Hazara Ejaz Khan, RPO Hazara, DPOs of Upper Kohistan and Lower Kohistan, Jameel Akhtar, and Sulaiman Ahmed.

Apart from this, due to lack of better security arrangements, Commandant CPEC Security Unit Zafar Ali were also among those suspended from their posts while two more grade base officers have also been removed from the post and suspended.
The federal government issued a notice of suspension to the four officers for four months and also sought a detailed report from the KP police for taking action against other officers on the Besham incident.
