PARIS: France will launch a new effort to protect children from excessive screen time, proposing to ban access to social media for children under 15 by next September, while also banning mobile phone use in secondary schools.

The draft legislation also includes extending existing rules that already prohibit phones in primary and middle schools to all secondary schools.

This move aims to reduce distractions and encourage healthier social interactions during the school day.
