ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has issued a detailed guide for citizens seeking long-term migration under a skilled residence pathway in New Zealand, outlining eligibility criteria, costs, and application procedures.
The successful applicants of the visa obtain permission to reside, work, and attend educational institutions in New Zealand for an unlimited time.
Migrants have the option to bring their spouses and children who are younger than 24 years. Application fee requirements begin at NZD 6,450 according to officials.
The Permanent Resident Visa allows applicants to travel freely in and out of the country after they hold the visa for two years.
The applicants need to be younger than 55 years, and they must pass health and character tests and show their English language skills.
A confirmed full-time skilled job with an accredited employer is mandatory. Candidates must meet two conditions, which include obtaining six points through the skilled resident points system and demonstrating legitimate connections to their family members.
The job must be full-time (minimum 30 hours per week) and either permanent, fixed-term for at least 12 months, or part of a continuous contract.
The roles must meet ANZSCO Level 1 through Level 3 requirements with a minimum wage of NZD 35 per hour or Level 4 through Level 5 requirements, which mandate at least NZD 52.50 per hour.
The applicants must obtain a minimum of six points, which they can achieve through their educational qualifications, income, and occupational registration.
The complete six points can be obtained through a doctoral degree, which allows candidates to increase their eligibility through their work experience and the higher salaries they earn in New Zealand.
