IHC suspends Tariq Fazal Chaudhry victory notifcation from NA-47

Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the winning notification of Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry from NA-47 (Islamabad II) on Monday.

PTI-backed independent candidate from NA-47, Shoaib Shaheen had challenged the notification of the victory of PML-N candidate Tariq Fazal Chaudhry in the Islamabad High Court.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the petition today and suspended ECP’s victory notification of Dr. Tariq from Islambad-II.

Earlier, the Election Commission had issued the notification of the successful candidates for the three seats in Islamabad.

According to the notification, Anjum Aqeel of PML-N won from NA-46, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry won from NA-47 independent candidate Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz remained victorious from NA-48.
