Imran Khan is placed on judicial remand for 14 days in cases including May 9

RAWALPINDI: In 12 instances pertaining to the May 9 riots, a court has granted former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan a 14-day judicial remand.

Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case on Thursday at Adiala Jail. The court was urged by the Rawalpindi police to give Imran Khan a 30-day physical remand.

However, the court turned down their argument and gave the former premier a 14-day judicial remand in 12 terrorism offenses involving the May 9 attacks.
