Islamabad weather forecast; weather to remain mostly dry in the city, chance of rain

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall with snowfall over the mountains for federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of the country on Wednesday evening/night and Thursday.

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper and central parts of Pakistan.

PMD predicted, rain-wind with thunderstorms, snowfall over the hills and isolated hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday evening and night.

On Thursday & Friday, light rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are expected at isolated places in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Capital Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
