Karachi weather forecast amid Solar Eclipse; Karachi weather expected to become hotter from today

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday said that the weather in Karachi is expected to become hotter from today.  According to the Met Office, the intensity of heat is likely to last in several areas of Sindh till April 10 — which is expected to be the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Moreover, the mercury is expected to hover between 35°C to 37°C, said the Met department.  Earlier in the morning, Karachi’s weather became foggy as the humidity in the air increased due to the sea breeze.

The humidity in the air was more than 80% while the visibility in the airport area was till 5 kilometres, said the PMD. Currently, the weather is sunny with 36°C and 33% humidity.

Karachi weather forecast amid Solar Eclipse

On Monday, April 8, the sky will momentarily darken in the path of totality during the 2024 solar eclipse.

There will be a partial solar eclipse starting at 20:48 PST, a total eclipse starting at 21:38 PST, and a maximum eclipse at 23:17 PST.

According to the met office, the total eclipse will end at 00:55 PST on April 9 while partial eclipse will end at 01:52 PST.

The first solar eclipse of 2024 will be visible from the West in Europe, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic.

The solar eclipse will not be visible in Pakistan.
