Kashmir Solidarity Day: Pakistan promises to support the Kashmiri people in their struggle

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the world observes Kashmir Solidarity Day to show Pakistan’s unwavering support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their unalienable right to self-determination as guaranteed by UN resolutions. A public holiday has been announced for the day.
The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs stated in a press statement that all necessary preparations have been done to celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day appropriately both at home and abroad today. It stated that walks in solidarity would be held around the nation, including in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. At 9:30 am, there was a one-minute silence to honor the Kashmiri martyrs.

On Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the scene of a rally in honor of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Participants in the rally include people from various walks of life, as well as Federal Minister of National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi, Minister for Privatization Fawad Hassan Fawad, Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmad, Secretary Foreign Affairs Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi. They are waving placards endorsing the Kashmiri people.

They are carrying banners with messages that draw attention to the crimes committed by India in Jammu and Kashmir, which is an unlawful occupation. Important Avenues, airports, and train stations have all had billboards and posters put up to draw attention to the predicament of the Kashmiri people.

Educational institutions are hosting essay writing competitions in addition to declamation and debate competitions in honor of the day.
