Following the announcement on Monday by Buckingham Palace, King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. This news has garnered international support.
With the exception of ski and polo injuries, Charles, who ascended to the throne on September 8, 2022, following the death of his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II, has typically been in good condition. However, the palace reported that “a separate issue of concern was noted” during his most recent hospital surgery for a benign growth of the prostate.

The palace released a statement stating that “further diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer” and that “he has begun treatment,” but it did not specify the type of disease or its stage of development. The monarch “remains totally positive” and “looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible,” according to the palace.
Doctors had ordered him to delay public appearances, but he will still “undertake state business and official paperwork as usual,” the palace said. Supporting messages were sent after the shocking announcement, with Prince Harry, Charles’s estranged son, stating he had spoken with his father and will soon pay him a visit.
