Mahmood Khan Achakzai requests ECP to postpone Presidential elections

Islamabad: Sunni Ittehad Council presidential candidate Mahmood Khan Achakzai ‘s  wrote letter to the Election Commission. He requested to postpone the presidential elections. Electoral College is incomplete, certain seats still remain, letter Conducting presidential elections without specific seats is against the constitution and law, letter states.

The Electoral College will not be complete without the specific seats being decided, the letter said. The Sunni Ittehad Council has also approached the court on the issue of reserved seats.
The Sunni Ittehad Council hopes to get a favorable decision from the court on the matter, letter states.
It will be illegal to hold presidential elections without completing the Electoral College, said in the letter.
