PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif took oath as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan today (Monday) in a ceremony that took place at Aiwan-i-Sadar in Islamabad.
In the oath-taking ceremony, President Dr. Arif Alvi took the oath of office of Prime Minister from Shehbaz Sharif. After which the guard of honor was also presented to the new prime minister.

Chiefs of all three armed forces, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, chief ministers of Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan, political leaders, and other important personalities participated. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir was also in attendance.
Shahbaz Sharif was elected as Prime Minister in the election for the post of Prime Minister slot during the special session of the National Assembly yesterday.
Shehbaz Sharif secured 201 votes in the PM elections defeating PTI-backed SIC candidate Omar Ayub Khan, who managed to get 92 votes.
