The session started with a ruckus as soon as the national anthem ended as the Sunni Ittehad Council lawmakers, backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) surrounded the speaker’s dias and chanted slogans against alleged rigging in Feb 8 polls.

The speaker then urged the MNAs-elect to take their seats, emphasizing that they first “needed to become members” of the lower house.

Moreover, the election for the speaker and deputy speaker will be held tomorrow March 1.
