Mushahid Hussain Syed calls for general amnesty for political prisoners

ISLAMABAD:  Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz called for the general amnesty of political prisoners, including the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Said Mushahid Hussain Syed on the floor of the Pakistani Senate, “I was the first to demand the release of the PTI chairman, now everyone should be pardoned after general elections.”

The congressman from the PML-N stated that he had previously called for Nawaz Sharif’s release during the PTI’s tenure in Pakistan and that he is currently requesting everyone’s pardon, including the PTI’s founder.

He stated that reserved seats in the assemblies need to be given to SIC. Speaking about the unaccounted for, Mushahid Hussain Syed stated that only 13 MQM-P workers remain unaccounted for out of the over 500 workers who have been found. He said that the committee has been given the report on the missing people from Balochistan.

In the Adiala Jail, the former prime minister is presently serving his sentence for cipher, toshakhana, and a marital case involving “un-Islamic” marriage. Mushahid Hussain Syed declared earlier that PTI has become the winning political party in the election following the results. “Nawaz Sharif ought to extend his hand in a generous manner.”

“The system should also include the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.” The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senator counseled his party leadership that he needed to see the PTI’s founder.
