On Wednesday, Commissioner Karachi issued a notification regarding new food items’ prices including chicken, sugar, and milk.
The spokesperson Chief Minister Sindh stated that the price control program, in which the administration will keep an eye on prices using a price list, was started at Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s request.
The announcement states that the price of dairy farm milk is Rs 180 per liter, Rs 188 at wholesale, and Rs 200 at retail; the price of sugar, on the other hand, is Rs 123 per kilogram at wholesale and Rs 130 at retail.

Comparably, the fine X flour mill flour costs Rs130, the wholesale price is Rs133, the retail price is Rs138, and the retail price of mill flour is Rs140. Mill flour costs Rs120, wholesale Rs123, and retail Rs128.
The announcement states that the price per kilogram for goat meat is Rs 1700, lamb meat is Rs 1450, and buffalo meat is Rs 1590.
Live farm chicken costs Rs366, its wholesale price is Rs378 and its retail price is Rs386, while the cost of chicken meat is fixed at Rs598 per kilogram.
Notifications on the cost of bakery and supermarket products have also been sent out.
