PM’s tenure will be split between PPP and PML-N under a “power-sharing formula.”

LAHORE – Leading figures from the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) held further discussions at Bilawal House and agreed to work together politically to restore political stability to the nation in turmoil.
According to reports, PPP and PML-N discussed a “power-sharing formula” to divide the prime minister’s term while influential politicians deliberate about various approaches to establish the next administration.

It was suggested that the PPP and PML-N might each choose their nominee to serve as prime minister for 2.5 years. PDM allies emphasized the need to stabilize the country in South Asia. We have the mandate from the people. We promise not to let them down, it said.

Shehbaz Sharif arrived at Bilawal House in Lahore on Sunday for the second round of negotiations. Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanveer, and Azam Nazeer Tarar were with him. In the meeting, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto both represented the PPP.

The PPP’s Central Executive Committee will hear the recommendations that the two parties exchanged on how to create a government, according to the statement.

Hours after Nawaz Sharif’s address, Shehbaz Sharif visited Asif Zardari and Bilawal in Lahore on Friday. On Monday at 7 p.m., the PPP’s CEC is scheduled to convene in Islamabad. The leaders of the PPP, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of the PML-Q, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman of the JUI-F are anticipated to meet.
