Rains predicted across the country once again

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has once again predicted rains across the country. According to the report, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in most parts of the country from April 16 to 19, hailstorm has also been predicted in some places.

However, the weather is expected to be dry in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, while the weather is expected to remain hot in the central/southern regions during the day.

According to the details, intermittent rain and wind are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Peshawar and other areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 16 to 19. On April 17 and 18, heavy rain and hail are also likely at some places. In Gilgit-Baltistan, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in Astore, Diamer, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza and surrounding areas from April 16 to 19, and snowfall is expected in the mountains.

Rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected at many places in Azad Jammu and Kashmir from April 17 to 19, and hail is expected at some places. Similarly, in Balochistan, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected from April 17 to 18 and in various areas of Punjab including Islamabad from April 16 to 18, and hail is also possible at some places.

In Sindh, wind and thunderstorms are also expected in some areas from April 16 to 18. Due to heavy rains in the upper areas, there is a risk of flooding in rivers and canals, and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
