Secretary-General MWL Al-Issa arrives in Islamabad today

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) will arrive in Islamabad today on a nine-day official visit to Pakistan.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim, who gave hajj semon 2022, will lead the Eid prayers at Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque and spend his Eid with orphaned children in Pakistan, state-run Radio Pakistan reported.

The esteemed dignitary will also engage in a series of high-level meetings with Pakistani officials including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, and Minister for Religious Affairs.

During these meetings, the two sides will exchange views on issues of mutual interest to foster diplomatic relations.

The Muslim World League is a Makkah-based international Islamic non-governmental organization (NGO) that represents followers of Islam around the world. MWL promotes what it calls the true message of Islam by advancing moderate values that promote peace, tolerance, and love

Dr. Al-Issa is described by the AWL as a “trailblazer” for forging partnerships among different communities, faiths, and nations.
