ISLAMABAD: Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was supposed to be released from Adiala Jail today after his bail was granted in a cipher case.

However, according to latest reports he has been detained in Adiala Jail for 15 days. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi issued the detention order, on the advisory of CPO Rawalpindi.
The justification offered by the authorities for detaining him is that he is under investigation for his involvement in May 9 events under 3MPO, sources added.
