The chief patron of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Jahangir Khan Tareen, announced on Monday his dedication to creating a “Naya Pakistan” in the real meaning, a term initially espoused by his former leader and PTI founder, Imran Khan.

Speaking to a passionate corner gathering in PP-228, Tareen stated that the party will assiduously adhere to its program if given the faith of the people and that his politics are based on the struggle against injustice and repression.

Tareen pledged numerous development projects, such as the installation of an underpass, the supply of potable water, the supply of gas, and the creation of a NADRA office.

As Tareen and IPP candidate Nazir Khan Baloch from PP-228 spoke at corner meetings in different places and interacted with the community and local leaders, the campaign gathered steam.

Tareen spoke to gatherings at the homes of Khawaja Amir, Raja Farooq Sukhera, Malik Fayaz Ur Rehman, and Malik Hifz. He was accompanied by IPP leaders such as Nazir Khan Baloch and local leaders of Gailywal, Jahanzeb Talat, Kamran Ahir, and Khawajaullah Nawaz.Notably, a 20-year partnership with Siddique Baloch came to an end when Malik Hafeez and Malik Abdul Karim Arain declared their support for Tareen and Baloch.

In the corner meetings, Tareen announced February 8 to be the day of victory and spoke of his strong bond with the Gailywal community. After the triumph, he vowed to work nonstop to improve both the general state of Lodhran and the lives of its citizens.

He emphasized the party’s fight against political tyranny. In a similar incident, Jahangir Tareen visited senior PML-N leader and former governor of Punjab Rafique Rajwana at his home.In Multan, Rajwana promised Tareen her undivided support and her commitment to backing him from NA-149.

Tareen’s political aspirations gained impetus from the gesture, which signified a notable convergence of political forces in the area.
