Tour of Australia, important changes in the Team

Regarding the squad of the national cricket team for the tour of Australia, Chief Selector Wahab Riaz has completed consultation with Captain Shan Masood and Director Mohammad Hafeez.

Sources say that Wahab Riaz is waiting for the approval of Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf, one to two changes can be made in the national cricket team.

According to sources, most of the players who played the Test series against Sri Lanka are likely to be retained, while Mir Hamza and Khurram Shehzad are strong candidates due to the injury of fast bowler Naseem Shah.

Khurram Shahzad took the most wickets in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy with 36 wickets while Mir Hamza stood second with 32 wickets in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. All-rounder Muhammad Nawaz’s inclusion in the national squad is under threat.

Mohammad Nawaz played the last Test against England, remained on the bench in the tour of Sri Lanka, sources say that according to the Australian condition, an additional fast bowler is likely to be made part of the squad.

Selection is difficult due to Haris Rauf’s poor performance in the World Cup, according to sources Mohammad Hasnain and Ehsanullah are unavailable due to injury.
