Indian media quoted sources as saying that it was a minor surgery that was performed on Wednesday morning to correct his vision.

Akshay will now rest for a few days and start working after recovering. He had earlier also completed the Kerala schedule of his next film with Anees Bazmee, which also features Vidya Balan and Rishi Khanna.

As far as work is concerned, 58-year-old Akshay Kumar, who is considered one of the busiest actors in the industry, currently has several films in the pipeline, including Welcome to the Jungle, Haywan, Golmaal 5 and the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Doorle Saat.
