‘Dangal’ co-star dies at 19

New Delhi: Indian child actor Suhani Bhatnagar, renowned for her role in the blockbuster sports film ‘Dangal’, tragically passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 19. Bhatnagar, who gained prominence for portraying the younger version of Babita Phogat in the acclaimed biographical drama, succumbed to illness at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

According to reports from Indian entertainment sources, Bhatnagar had been unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment at AIIMS. She was admitted following a reaction caused by medication and was receiving medical care for fluid accumulation in her body before her untimely demise.

The aspiring artist, who made her big screen debut in the 2016 release ‘Dangal’ alongside Aamir Khan and Sakshi Tanwar, had previously appeared in several ad films before achieving recognition in Bollywood. Her performance as the younger Babita Phogat in ‘Dangal’ was widely acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.

Bhatnagar’s body will be cremated at the Ajronda crematorium in Faridabad, marking the end of a promising career cut short by tragedy. Her passing has left the entertainment industry and her fans in mourning, with tributes pouring in for the talented young actor whose potential was evident in her brief yet impactful tenure on screen.
