Talha Anjum tops Spotify charts once again

ISLAMABAD: 2025 proved to be an exceptional year for Pakistani music, as it merged the influence of seasoned artists with fresh energy from new voices.

Reshaping the local music landscape are emerging talents like Talha Anjum, Umair, and Hasan Raheem, along with others, while fans celebrate their favorite songs and albums with fervor.

Spotify’s Wrapped 2025 campaign returned bigger than ever, providing an in-depth glance into what the people of Pakistan have been streaming most this year.

According to Spotify, Talha Anjum has yet again been crowned as Pakistan’s top artist, sealing his dominant position in the local music scene. The platform emphasized that 2025 had been a phenomenal year for Pakistani music, where the streaming of local songs surged by 70% this year.

Umair and Hasan Raheem were the featured artists alongside Talha Anjum, while two of the biggest singers, Atif Aslam and the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, continued to hold on to their strong positions.

Other emerging artists that gained considerable popularity include Maanu, Bayaan, Afusic, AliSoomroMusic, and Annural Khalid, thus reflecting a dynamic mix of new and established voices shaping Pakistan’s music landscape.
