26th martyrdom anniversary of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed being observed today

RAWALPINDI: The 26th martyrdom anniversary of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider is being observed today.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, Naval Chief, and Chief of the Pakistan Army, paid tribute to the martyr.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on July 7, 1999, Havaldar Lalak Jan bravely repelled enemy attacks during the Kargil War.

Despite being seriously injured, Lalak Jan remained steadfast on the front and sacrificed his life.

The ISPR has said that the armed forces and the entire nation are proud of the sacrifice of Lalak Jan Shaheed and will always remember it.

Lalak Jan Shaheed’s spirit is a beacon of light for today and future generations.

President and Prime Minister Tributes:

President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) and saluted the unparalleled bravery, courage and sacrifice of the martyr.

He said in his statement that the nation today pays tribute to the courage and great sacrifice of the great hero of the Kargil War, Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider).

Despite being seriously injured, Lalak Jan Shaheed stopped the enemy’s attacks and sacrificed his life to defend the motherland.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also paid tribute to Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on his martyrdom anniversary, saying that he destroyed the enemy’s evil intentions without caring about his own life and made a great sacrifice for the country.

The Prime Minister said in his statement that the enemy’s attacks could not dampen the morale of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed.

Their bravery, courage and sense of duty are a worthy example for the new generation. The Pakistani nation can never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs. The martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces and their families are the pride of the entire nation, including me.
