Abducted KP police officer killed by militants

BANNU: In a tragic incident, the former Station House Officer (SHO) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abid Wazir, has been brutally killed by the militants, according to sources.

According to the police reports, the dead body of a police officer was found in the nearby nullah.

Earlier today, several news outlets reported that the officer had been successfully rescued and had reached home; however, according to the latest updates, the kidnappers martyred the officer before reaching home.

It is important to note here that Abid Wazir was kidnapped two days ago from the Mamand Khel area of Bannu. The former SHO of Wazir Police Station was kidnapped along with his vehicle from the People Daud Shah area. The sources claimed that the abduction was by militants of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
