Accidental firing at Balochistan Governor’s residence injures five

ZHOB: An unintentional firing incident occurred at the mansion of Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, injuring five individuals on Friday, according to police.

Three students from Government Boys Degree College and two police officers who had come to visit the Governor were injured in the incident.

Speaking to the media, Zhob Superintendent of Police (SP) Shaukat Mohmand said that three students and two police officers had been injured in the incident.

He said that “The firing happened by mistake and was done by the station house officer’s gunman,” while adding that the gunman had dropped his gun on the ground, which had resulted in it going off.

The official said that the condition of all the injured people was stable, and they had been taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Initial investigations indicated that the incident was an accident, and further investigation is underway.
