Karachi University cancels Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri’s LLB degree

KARACHI: The University of Karachi administration has cancelled the LLB result and degree of Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, and the University of Karachi has withdrawn this result.

A notification of cancellation of the degree has been issued by the Registrar of the University, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui.

In this regard, the notification issued by the University of Karachi states that under Resolution 6 of the meeting of the Syndicate held on August 31, 2024 and in the light of the recommendations of the unfair means committee, Tariq Mahmood son of Qazi Muhammad Akram was found to be using illegal means and was debarred for 3 years, he will not be able to take admission in any college or university.

Under this circular, he will not appear in any examination while he has never been a student of Islamia Law College Karachi; therefore, the Assistant Registrar cancelled his LLB enrolment number AIL-7124/87.

In pursuance of this decision of the Syndicate, the LLB result and degree of Tariq Mahmood, Seat No. 22857, and Enrolment No. AIL-7124/87, is cancelled.

The above notification has been issued with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.

The decision has also been communicated to the Registrar of Islamabad High Court, Registrar of Sindh High Court, Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary Universities and Boards, HEC Pakistan, Sindh HEC, Sindh Bar Council, Principal Islamia Law College, and related institutions.
