Tragic crash in Dera Ismail Khan claims 11 lives of same family

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A tragic traffic accident took place today at the Danasar area  ,when the brakes of a Mazda vehicle coming from Khanozai, Balochistan, to Dera Ismail Khan failed.

Members of the same family were travelling in the vehicle. As soon as the accident was reported, the Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan team reached the spot and started rescue operations in time.

The accident occurred due to the brake failure of the vehicle, in which many precious lives were lost.

Rescue personnel shifted 03 injured to the District Headquarters Hospital after providing first aid, while the bodies of 07 deceased were also recovered.

Local sources said that 04 more deceased were taken to the hospital. A total of 11 people lost their lives in the accident, including 05 women, a man, and a child, while 3 people were injured.

The injured include Darya Khan (27 years), Yousuf (10 years) and Ahmed (25 years).

District Emergency Officer Engineer Fasihullah expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and patience for the bereaved families.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Ehsan Khan, the injured and deceased have been shifted to the hospital as per the regulations.
