RAWALPINDI: In line with the implementation of the Punjab Chief Minister’s jail reforms agenda, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail Rawalpindi has been transferred.
The Punjab Home Department has issued orders for appointments and transfers in jails.
According to the notification issued on the instructions of the Home Secretary, these appointments will come into effect immediately.
According to the orders issued, Haq Nawaz has been posted as Superintendent District Jail Attock, while Superintendent Jail Ishtiaq Ahmed Gill has been suspended and directed to report to the Inspectorate of Prisons, Punjab.
Similarly, Abdul Ghafoor Anjum has been posted as Superintendent Central Jail Faisalabad, Sajid Baig as Superintendent Central Jail Rawalpindi, Tipu Sultan as Superintendent District Jail Mandi Bahauddin, Sohail Nabi Gill as Superintendent District Jail Lodhran and Aftab Ahmed as Superintendent District Jail Vehari.
Furthermore, Imran Naveed Ashraf has been posted as Additional Superintendent Central Jail Gujranwala, Ghulam Mohiuddin as Superintendent Sub Jail Shujaabad, Saqib Elahi as Deputy Superintendent Development Central Jail Faisalabad, Yasir Hassan as Deputy Superintendent Executive District Jail Toba Tek Singh, and Mushtaq Ahmed as Deputy Superintendent Judicial District Jail Faisalabad.
According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Home Department, these appointments and transfers aim to ensure improvement, transparency, and effective administrative reforms in the prison system, which are an important part of the Punjab Chief Minister’s reform agenda.
