Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against Bahria Town for encroachment, illegal plotting/cutting and brochures violating the Approved Layout Plan (LOP) in Phase VIII of Mouza Gali.
The RDA also issued notices to the owners of two unauthorized housing schemes, Zak City in Mouza Harnal, Gujar Khan and Hoon Farm House in Mouza Adhwal Tehsil Rawalpindi, for starting development activities and marketing without its approval. are
In a press release, RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza said that notices have been issued to owners of Bahria Town Phase VIII and two illegal housing schemes.
He said that these unauthorized schemes are luring common people to purchase plots fraudulently, putting their hard-earned savings at risk.
He further directed the Director of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Branch to take immediate action against illegal advertising and marketing activities. Further, FIRs will be registered against the owners of these illegal housing schemes.
Kinza Murtaza added that sponsors of illegal housing schemes have been strongly warned to stop marketing their unapproved/illegal housing schemes immediately. They are requested to approach RDA to obtain NOC/sanction for the scheme as per law.
