Ameer Balaj murder accused Teefi Butt killed in police encounter

LAHORE: The main accused in the Ameer Balaj murder case, Teefi Butt, was killed in an alleged police encounter.

According to sources, Tefi Butt was brought back to Pakistan from Dubai by the police yesterday.

He was being transferred to Lahore for interrogation when unknown persons opened fire on the police near Rahim Yar Khan on the way.

Teefi Butt was killed on the spot as a result of the firing.

DSP CCD Syed Hussain Haider, CCD Inspector Abdul Hadi, and Constable Sagheer Ali were part of the team that brought the accused.

Teefi Butt was allegedly escaped from CCD custody in two vehicles. While pursuing the escapees, the police chased the attackers.

During this encounter, CCD driver Noor Ali was injured due to a bullet injury on his right arm.

Authorities have begun further investigation into the incident, and the process of collecting evidence is underway.
