Anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb subjected to domestic violence, husband arrested

LAHORE: Senior anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb’s husband Haris has been arrested on charges of domestic violence on Wednesday.

Ayesha Jahanzeb filed a case against his husband for allegedly being tortured at the Sarwar Road police station, leading to the arrest of her husband, Haris.

In his complaint, Ayesha Jahanzeb alleged that she has been subjected to violence by her husband at least thrice over the past year. She sustained serious injuries from the alleged torture, prompting her to seek legal recourse, she stated.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), complainant Ayesha was brutally tortured and injured by her husband. Following the FIR, the police took swift action and arrested the victim’s husband.

According to the details, Haris was produced before a judicial magistrate, who approved a physical remand for two days.
