Araqchi, Asim Munir hold key talks on regional tensions

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met Field Marshal Asim Munir in Islamabad to discuss the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

A statement issued by the Iranian embassy said that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had his first official meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir.

According to diplomatic sources, the meeting was attended by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, National Security Advisor General Asim Malik, and DG Military Intelligence.

Sources say that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi, Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Amiri Moqadam, and Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghai were also present in the meeting.

It should be noted that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in Pakistan yesterday with a small delegation. The Iranian Foreign Minister will also meet Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif today.
