KARACHI: In a bizarre incident, a policeman from the special branch wing became a victim of robbery. The armed robbers took policeman’s government-issued motorcycle and mobile phone.

The shocking incident occurred on Wednesday, near the Malir 15 flyover in Karachi.

According to the details, the policeman was held hostage by two robbers riding an unnumbered motorcycle, who snatched his bike, mobile phone, and other valuables items he was carrying at the time of robbery.

However, this is not a single incident that has been reported, multiple police men have been robbed in September 2024 at M-9 Motorway, Malir.

The armed robbers took their weapons, phones and any other valuable belonging they had at that time.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and have registered a First Information Report against unidentified suspects.

It is very alarming that even the policemen have come into the category of these robbers, and it speaks of the law and order situation that prevails in the city.
